NC12/SOCO
The NC12/SOCO is our simple to use, cost effective, bed or chair exit device. In the model number we have “SO” which is short for Solo and “CO” which is short for Controller.
For ease of use and maintenance no batteries are required as it has its own power supply ( PSU ).
 Instructions on use
‘Simplicity’ is the buzz-word with the NC12/SOCO and its use is as easy as A, B, C.
A, Seat or lay the user on the sensor pad
B, Plug in the PSU
C, Plug the connecting lead into nursecall call point
The NC12/SOCO is now fully operational and will trigger when the service user shifts their weight off the sensor pad.

To reset the nursecall system
1, Return service user to the bed or chair and press the “reset button” on the nursecall system’s call point.
OR
2, Unlpug the lead connecting it to the nursecall system and press the “Reset button” as above.

Other information
It is good practice to unplug both the PSU and the nursecall connecting lead when not in use.
In the event of the PSU being accidently disconnected or unplugged when it is in use, it will bring a call up onto the nursecall system as if the service user had exited from the bed or chair. This is a “fail-Safe” feature.

sPARES AND REPAIRS - BRIEF HISTORY

A few words about Providing spares and repairs for nurscall systems
I started Heracles in 1989 and since I first began working with nursecall ( nurse call ) equipment in 1987 when working for Planned Equipment Limited (PEL ) many systems have come and gone. This is why our nursecall spares and repairs capability is kept busy. From Archer to Zettler, Robert Michael Cameo to Tate, Haes to Sound Diffusion and many in between. Providing spares and repairs for these nurse call systems provides for great variety.
The Aiphone Nem system was probably the first system to provide a quality speech facility, though the nursecall add-ons weren’t as streamlined as I’d have liked. This is unlike C-Tec’s nursecall 800 which was probably the first fully comprehensive and fully cohesive nurse call system. In those early days it was reassuring to know there was something specifically taylor-made for use in nursing and care homes. Even today I would hazard a guess that Nursecall 800 and the later digital Quantec system are still market leaders.
It’s hard to say who developed the first digital or addressable nursecall system, though I would take a punt on Ewdec with their Linecall 2000. We have been happy to supply spares and repairs for Linecall 2000 for many years though when the manufacturers finally pulled the plug on it we had to move on. This we did to the ACS system manufactured by Lismore instruments who also manufacture the Intercall 400, 500, 600 and 700 systems. Though only the 600 and 700 are still manufactured. The 500 was a very good early speech system which partnered an effective and well thought out nurse call system.
We simply loved the simplicity and reliability of the ACS system (also branded as Care Call ) however its longevity was not to be and it has recently been withdrawn, we expect to be supporting the systems we provided with spares and repairs for many years to come.
There are currently four main brands of wired digital nursecall systems available to the electrical contracting trade in the UK ( though of course we may be mistaken ) and these are Quantec, Intercall, SAS and Clipper. All are reliable and well built, well thought-out products. As far as ease of getting spares and repairs for them go, I have listed them in what I think is the right order. Warden call systems from the likes of Tynetec and wireless systems from the likes of ARM are a different kettle of fish when it comes to the general electrical contracting trade.
